Three sources, and only three

The form: The month you have in mind, the group size you picked, the words you typed into the box, a name to answer to, an address to send the answer to, and a telephone number only if you decide to add one
The company carrying you: Once a booking exists, that company keeps its own record of you under its own notice. What sits here is a copy of what went out and what came back
The page you are reading: Nothing at all. No measurement script loads, nothing follows you after you leave, and no profile of you is assembled anywhere

Two windows, then deletion

Two facts decide how long anything is kept: whether you are still deciding, and when you last flew or sailed.

While a quote is open: The file stays live. Ages of children in the party sit inside it for that stretch alone, because no company can price a bed or apply an age rule blind
Twenty four months: Counted from the later of two dates, your last message or the final day of the trip. At the end the file is deleted outright, not copied somewhere quieter first
If no booking follows: The same twenty four months apply. Write to standby@theconstanttravellers.com and it goes sooner

The one thing stored on your machine

A single cookie is the whole of it, and even that one waits for your yes on the strip near the top of the page.

Contents: The word yes. Nothing sits beside it. No identifier is issued, no trail builds up, and you cannot be recognized again from it
For advertising: Nothing to list, because none runs
For measurement: Same answer
If you refuse: It costs you nothing. Every page behaves the same either way, and the strip stays quiet afterwards

Where it does not go

A name, a telephone number, a line you typed: never sold, never rented, never bartered, never passed to anybody outside the company performing your trip. Issuing a ticket takes the name of the passenger, so the name goes across. The number, the budget and the text of your message stay here, unless you ask for one of them to go with it.

Ages, and the only reason they are asked for

These pages are not written for anyone under sixteen, and nothing is taken from a person that age on purpose. Ages of children arrive here through the adult making the booking, exist so that a bed can be priced correctly, and are destroyed with the rest of the file.

Getting a copy, a fix, or a deletion

Send one line to standby@theconstanttravellers.com naming which of the three you want. No form has to be filled in and no reason has to be given. The reply comes answered the same working day. The work behind it can take up to thirty days.
