sixteen names on the list, and a straight answer about everywhere else

Where These Vacation Packages Go, and Where They Do Not

Where these vacation packages go was settled by repetition rather than ambition. Sixteen places, each worked often enough that the ways they fail are already familiar here.

Sixteen places, four sizes, from $1,120 per person.

Sixteen. That is the whole list, and a name gets onto it only after this desk has sent enough people there to have learned something unpleasant about the place.

Everything else, and there is a great deal of everything else, stays off. A page carrying a hundred countries costs nothing to type and proves nothing at all. Knowing a hundred countries is the part that cannot be typed, and the gap between the two opens up at eleven at night, when the car that was meant to be waiting is not.

Sixteen is small enough to keep in the head. For each of them the desk can say which operating company still picks up in August, which stretch of road runs twice as long as the map promises, and what season a photograph in the package description was actually shot in.

When the place you want is missing from the list

You get told straight out that it sits outside what this desk has handled, and then you get told what sort of company does handle it. Nothing is charged for that answer. Nobody here will take one of the sixteen and press it into the shape of the trip you were really asking about.

It comes up maybe twice in a month. Not once has saying it cost the desk a booking worth having.

Four answers you will not get here

Is it safe there
A verdict nobody sitting at this desk is qualified to hand down, so none gets handed down
Paperwork at the border
Verify it yourself, against the passport in your own hand. Nothing on that subject is issued from here
Cover for the week
Neither sold nor set up nor recommended, and no provider named. The reasoning in full sits on the short answers
Who actually runs it
The proposal names it in writing, and it arrives there because that is where knowing it changes anything

Tell this office what you are picturing

No charge, no obligation either way, and answered the same working day. Scroll the fields and you will not find one that takes a payment, because none was ever built.

Sending this opens a conversation and books nothing. Where the message names a trip, the reply names the operator that would run it before it names a figure.
