Notes
Eight notes from the desk, written from the questions that repeat
Every one of these started as something somebody asked on the telephone more than twice. None of them is here to rank for a phrase.
The eight

10 February 2026 · Timing
How early to leave when the car is going in a lot
The sum has four terms and most people count two of them. Worked through for the corridor, with the two hours of the week that break it.
-
3 March 2026 · Gate hours
Gate hours, and what a midnight return means
Most lots on this corridor are staffed by day and gated by code overnight. That difference decides which operators can take a late return at all.

What actually needs an oversized bay
Length, roof and rear. Three measurements, one of which nobody thinks about until the barrier will not close behind them.

When a weekly rate beats seven daily ones
Several operators here price a week under seven day rates. Nobody advertises it, the break even sits around day nine, and asking is the whole trick.
-
5 May 2026 · Bay types
Salt air, grit, and whether a covered bay is worth it
Two weeks on an open surface bay beside this bay leaves a film on the paint. Whether that matters is a real question with a real answer about half the time.
-
26 May 2026 · Availability
The weeks when the corridor actually fills
Four or five windows a year where the whole corridor tightens at once, the categories that go first, and how far ahead each one needs to be reserved.
-
16 June 2026 · Money
What actually moves the rate
Six things change a parking total and only one of them is the number of days. Here they are in the order they matter.

What to do when the flight moves
A reservation that ends before you land is the most common bad ending on this desk, and one field on the form prevents nearly all of it.
Where these come from
The desk answers the same eight or nine things most weeks. Writing them down is cheaper than saying them, and it means anybody deciding at midnight can read the answer instead of waiting for Monday.
Nothing here is sponsored, nothing links off this site, and no operator has ever been named in one. If a subject cannot be explained honestly, it is not on the list.
The two worth reading first
Short of time, take how early to leave and what moves the rate. Those two subjects account for most of the mistakes made on this corridor and for nearly all of the expensive ones.
Ask instead
Asking is faster than reading and the desk exists for it. +1 (415) 906-2431 during hours, or send dates on the reservation form with the question in the notes. Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Pacific Time.
